Our client is a fast-growing, medium-sized organisation looking for a Head of HR & Marketing who can balance strategy with execution. This is a hybrid leadership role where HR expertise meets marketing influence—perfect for someone who thrives on variety and impact.

What Makes a Strong Candidate

Responsibilities

  • Leading all HR functions : workforce planning, performance management, compliance, employee relations
  • Designing and implementing scalable HR processes : recruitment, onboarding, L&D, retention
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to leadership on people, culture, and engagement
  • Building frameworks that support both Australian and international teams
  • Owning brand, communications, and external positioning
  • Leading marketing strategy across digital, social, PR, and campaigns
  • Overseeing content creation, community engagement, and paid media strategies
  • Partnering with sales and leadership to ensure consistent messaging

Qualifications

  • Deep HR experience in the Australian market, including awards and union negotiations
  • 5+ years in combined HR and marketing leadership roles
  • Hands-on experience building HR systems for scaling businesses
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver marketing strategies (digital, social, PR, campaigns)
  • Capable of switching between strategy and execution seamlessly
  • Strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Preferred : APAC-based expat with Australian HR background
