Job Title : Data Specialist / Executive Assistant (SQL Expert)

Location : Remote

Employment Type : Full-time

Working Hours : Monday – Friday, 10 : 30 AM – 6 : 30 PM EST

Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Specialist / Executive Assistant with strong expertise in SQL or similar database tools. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver, capable of working independently to analyze data, streamline workflows, and enhance existing systems. This role will involve managing and optimizing complex Excel-based datasets , transitioning them to SQL or other database platforms, and providing administrative support to the executive team. While prior experience in every listed area is not required, we are looking for an individual with strong technical foundations and a keen ability to adapt and learn quickly.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, manage, and optimize complex Excel-based datasets , with potential migration to SQL or other database systems.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, inconsistencies, and areas for operational improvement.
  • Develop SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and organize data for reporting and decision-making.
  • Maintain database integrity, ensuring accuracy, security, and efficiency.
  • Provide administrative support to executives, including managing schedules, organizing documentation, and facilitating communication.
  • Assist in workflow automation , enhancing business processes through database-driven solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven initiatives.
  • Utilize project management tools such as Asana (or similar) to coordinate tasks and track progress.

Qualifications & Skills :

Required :

  • Proficiency in SQL (or similar database tools) for data management and analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel , including formulas, pivot tables, and automation features.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve efficiently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills .
  • Preferred / Beneficial :

  • Experience with QuickBooks for financial data management.
  • Familiarity with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
  • Proficiency in Asana or other project management tools .
  • Exposure to workflow automation and business process optimization.
  • Previous experience in an executive support role .
