Country Director (RI Philippines)

Location : Manila, Philippines

Duration : 12 months (renewable)

Reports to : Regional Director (RD), Africa / Asia

Position Summary : The Country Director will provide leadership for the RI-Philippines Senior Management Team, oversee strategic planning, program design and implementation, program support operations, country-level external relations and coordination, finance and budget compliance, administration, monitoring and evaluation, staff supervision, and reporting on grants. The CD ensures programs meet objectives, align with RI’s mission, are implemented on time and within budget, and identifies funding opportunities while improving country program performance.

Position Responsibilities and Duties

• Program Planning, Development, and Resource Acquisition : develop medium and long-range country strategic plans; maintain donor communications; collaborate on funding proposals; draft portions of proposals and budgets; track funding trends; cultivate new donors; pursue growth opportunities; assess other organizations’ activities to map gaps and competitors; participate in contract negotiations with donors; initiate and maintain partnerships; supervise assessments and data collection; lead emergency and disaster response where needed.
