Network Security Engineer

We are looking for a dedicated firewall engineer focused on maintaining and optimizing our wide area network, external connectivity, wireless, and data switching environments. The role will support a divestiture project, ensuring operational firewall maintenance, rule‑set alignment, and integration with core network, data centers, and cloud environments.

For This Role, You Will Need :

BA / BS in Information Systems or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in network design, implementation, and operation, including firewalling
Experience with Palo Alto platform firewall design, implementation, and network operation support
Process focused and documentation skills
Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, OCI)
Experience with Cisco VPN routers and third-party vendor connectivity
Experience with an enterprise firewall platform (Palo Alto preferred, Fortigate a plus)
Good communication and collaboration skills
Experience working in a global environment

Preferred Qualifications that set you apart :

Experience with a firewall assessment tool such as Firemon

Experience with ServiceNow

Experience with SEIM tools; Splunk preferred

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :

Implement ruleset changes and configurations for the firewall environment in support of a divestiture effort

Build new virtual firewalls in cloud service providers and manage platforms

Serve as lead and domain expert for security technologies within the project

Interface between Service Engineering and Service Operations to plan capacity and monitor firewall availability

Integrate security logs and information into monitoring and detection platforms with Security Operations and CIRT

Drive security guidelines, efficiency, and performance initiatives to improve firewall capabilities

Provide fourth‑level support to project-critical issues and drive resolution

Address chronic problems, root‑cause analysis, and remediation actions
