About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Banking Enterprise Architect to lead the design and modernization of core banking architecture using industry-standard frameworks such as BIAN. The role involves shaping the target-state architecture, defining integration strategies, and ensuring technology solutions align with business goals across the financial services landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Define and implement enterprise banking architecture aligned with the organization’s business and digital transformation objectives.
Apply BIAN (Banking Industry Architecture Network) principles to map, modularize, and optimize business capabilities.
Assess existing systems and identify areas for simplification, consolidation, and modernization.
Develop architectural roadmaps that enable composable, API-driven banking solutions.
Collaborate with business, application, and infrastructure teams to ensure architectural consistency and scalability.
Lead design discussions on service boundaries, data domains, and integration layers.
Guide development and delivery teams in adopting BIAN-aligned service models and reusable components.
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security, and compliance requirements.
Communicate architecture decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
12+ years of experience in enterprise or solution architecture, with a strong focus on banking or financial services.
Proven experience with BIAN framework, TOGAF, or other enterprise architecture methodologies.
Strong understanding of core banking systems, integration architectures, and API-led design.
Experience with microservices, cloud platforms, and data-driven architectures.
Background in payments, lending, customer servicing, or deposits is preferred.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Certifications in BIAN, TOGAF, or ArchiMate are a plus.
