We are seeking a payroll expert with passion for accuracy, leadership, and process improvement. The Payroll Team Leader to join our Finance Department will play a vital role in ensuring smooth, compliant, and timely payroll operations while leading and developing a high-performing team. Also, the payroll team leader will act as a very trusted partner to other stakeholders for all payroll related concerns and a strategic into developing strong payroll policies and reporting frameworks.

What You’ll Be Doing?

• Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Review payroll calculations, adjustments, and payroll imports prior to the finalization of payroll registers.
• Manage the payroll calendars, advisories, deadlines, and cut-off dates.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll team to deliver accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing.
• Conduct training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Attend to complex and escalated payroll queries or concerns.
• Provide expert guidance and insights related to payroll concerns to employees, managers, stakeholders and other departments.
• Review and develop payroll policies, procedures, and ensure internal controls and processes are in place.
• Ensure continuous improvement to current practices, processes, systems development and reporting.
• Ensure statutory and tax compliance towards compensation are followed.
• Lead the preparation of Annualized Compensation of employees and the release of their BIR 2316.
• Support month-end and year-end reporting requirements.
• Support Senior Accountants and the Finance Manager on the substantial reports as needed and assist during internal or external audit.
• Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time.

Role Requirements or Qualifications:

• Can communicate complex payroll matters clearly
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
• Strong working knowledge of Philippine Payroll Legislation, Tax and Statutory Requirements
• Experience working in a BPO, multinational environment
• Experience with Payroll software (Oracle, Workday, Sprout, ADP)
• With at least 5-6 years of Philippine Payroll calculation and Annualization
• With at least 2-3 years’ experience as a leader
• Advanced MS Excel Skills
• 100% Onsite schedule, 11AM to 8PM
• Hybrid can be offered after regularization depending on the performance level
• Work Location: Inoza Tower, BGC Taguig
