We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and dynamic Payroll Manager to join our collaborative and highly functional finance team.
We are a leading Australian healthcare recruitment agency providing services to the healthcare industry in every state and region.
Reporting to the Finance Director, this role will see you champion a constant drive for the smooth bi-weekly payroll runs, assuming responsibility for processes and maintaining high work standards and procedures to ensure an accurate and timely payroll service to nurses and doctors. This is a great opportunity for the right person to move toward the next level of their career with payroll.
What You’ll Do
- Reviewing and interpreting timesheets
- Reviewing and approving the payroll
- Calculating, reconciling, and paying :
o Superannuation
o Workers’ compensation
o Payroll Tax & PAYG
Conducting investigations, preparing reports, and ensuring all payroll accounts are reconciled accuratelyBuilding strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (clients, candidates, and employees)Manage and respond to high volumes of candidate queries promptly and professionally.Process adjustment payments and handle invoice-related tasks accurately.Requirements
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who :
5 years of experience in a payroll roleTertiary Qualifications in Accounting / Finance or similarStrong experience with XeroExperience with Astute would be a great advantageAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, especially ExcelExcellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracyStrong reconciliation and analytical skillsEagerness to learn and develop your careerWilling to collaborate, be team-oriented, and cover other finance roles due to leaveAbility to use initiative, be self-directed, and work under minimal supervisionPositive, can-do and hardworking attitude, but also someone who likes to get involved socially within the teamExperience working in a fast-paced environmentAbility to meet stringent deadlines and manage to change prioritiesStrong communication skills to both internal teams and external stakeholdersStrong ability to work on multiple projects simultaneouslyBenefits
