Network Services Engineer

SUMMARY

The Network Support Technician plays a key role in ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing connectivity for clients by supporting and troubleshooting complex network environments. This role is responsible for managing on-premises network stacks, configuring and maintaining next-generation firewalls, supporting VPNs and multi-site connectivity, and ensuring seamless integration across cloud and virtualized infrastructures.

The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills across LAN and WAN environments, hands-on experience with Juniper, Meraki, and Palo Alto technologies, and the ability to work directly with clients to resolve issues efficiently. Success in this role requires excellent technical knowledge, clear communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while balancing multiple priorities and participating in an on-call support rotation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot end-user connectivity to and from office locations and data centers.
• Support and troubleshoot on-premises client network stacks, including switches, routers, access points, and circuits such as DIA and point-to-point connections.
• Support client-specific requirements for voice, video, and security from third-party vendors.
• Create, manage, and troubleshoot next-generation firewall rule sets from vendors including Palo Alto, Meraki, and Juniper Networks.
• Support IPSec VPNs across a variety of hardware platforms, policy-based routing configurations, cloud-based computing environments, and multi-site, multi-platform connectivity.
• Work directly with high-profile clients to understand network infrastructure needs and identify potential issues.
• Record all work activities in timesheets within the ticketing system, ConnectWise.
• Communicate effectively with clients and peers, ensuring timely and professional responses.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
