Summary of Essential job functions :
General Manager for AUS Construction Inc for Structural Civil Engineers design structures that must endure stresses and pressures inflicted through human use and environmental conditions. They configure structures, choose appropriate building material, inspect the construction work, and ensure the structural soundness of buildings and structures.
JOB SUMMARY
a) Supervises preparation of structural drawings, designs, and revisions.
b) Supervised and work closely to Civil Engineering Team (Architect, Drafter, Civil Engineers(s), Civil Workers), and coordination with Mechanical Engineers and other operations department.
c) Prepares reports for the work / project assigned and to be checked by immediate superior.
d) Attends coordination meetings with other project heads.
e) Prepares / checks design analysis, calculations and related reports on structural engineering requirements of the project.
f) Conducts site inspection and investigation to determine the physical environmental condition and requirements of the proposed project site corresponding to the proposed structure, design and plans of the project.
g) Supervises the implementation of the project, see to it that the works are carried out in accordance with the plans, design and specification as approved by the project owner.
h) Perform other related duties as may be assigned by superiors from time to time.
i) Responsible and Liable to the drawing, designing, release of drawing, construction, supply of material and quality control pertaining to AUS Construction Inc.
Structural Civil Engineer Responsibilities :
a) Prepare reports, designs, and drawings.
b) Make calculations about pressures, loads, and stresses.
c) Consider the strength of construction materials and select appropriately.
d) Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.
e) Obtain planning and / or building regulations approval.
f) Analyze configurations of the basic components of a structure.
g) Liaise with professional staff such as architects and engineers.
h) Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness.
i) Administer contracts and manage projects.
j) Inspect properties to evaluate the conditions and foundations.
k) Use computer-aided design technology for simulation purposes.
Structural Civil Engineer Requirements :
a) Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (essential).
b) 6 years of work experience as a Structural Engineer (essential).
c) Professionally registered with the Institute of Structural Engineers.
d) Expert experience in project management.
e) Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
f) Sound understanding of physics and mathematics.
g) Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines.
h) Three-dimensional conceptual skills.
i) Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
j) Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
k) Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
l) Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
