Cost Controller

Mission

Manage costs, optimizing efficiency, and maintaining financial discipline within organizations. Uses and streamlines figures to analyze profitability and provide the management with decision support to optimize performance.

Main Responsibilities

Includes but not limited to the following:

• In charge to sustain reliability and accuracy of finance input. Countercheck discrepancies and cost allocation with all teams.
• Assist the production team in establishing and updating budget for both prelims and operational area
• Full compass update- 100% of phases creation, corresponding budget allocation and end of life cycle forecast update.
• Monthly operations must be carried out in Compass
• Populate cost report with variations, risks, commitments, expenditure in a prescribed format
• Identify and quantify cost drivers in consultation with the immediate report
• Able to meet deadlines and adapt clients requirements and analyse costs in detail
• Advice immediate report of changes in forecast that could impact approved project expenditures
• Control and monitor project expenditure including verifying and checking of invoice and claims from suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditure are captured and properly recorded
• Interact with other departments to ensure timely submission/gathering of information
• Participate in internal/external project audit
• Takes responsibility to ensure high quality & accurate cost reports
• Analytical and able to apportion costs across the project
• Participate and provide input in meetings
• Any other cost control tasks that may arise from time to time

Profile

Educational Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accountancy, Financial Managament

Desired Knowledge / Experience

- 2+ years of professional experience in an Auditor / Finance role

- Strong analytical, arithmetic, visualization skills and good English language is a must.

- Excellent MS office tools knowledge.
