About the Role

As we continue to scale rapidly, our success depends on building and sustaining a world-class teacher recruitment engine. The Head of Teacher Recruitment will serve as the organization’s recruitment leader, overseeing the entire teacher acquisition strategy—from marketing-driven applicant generation to recruiter performance, budget management, and executive-level partnerships.

This role requires a visionary yet hands-on leader who can balance operational excellence with long-term strategic planning. You will own the full recruitment lifecycle for thousands of teachers annually, build a high-performing recruitment organization, and partner with the C-suite to ensure talent supply aligns with client and business growth.

What You Will Do

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and own the long-term teacher recruitment strategy to support aggressive growth targets.
  • Partner with C-level executives to forecast hiring needs, align recruitment strategy with company goals, and advise on workforce planning.
  • Design and manage the annual recruitment budget, balancing cost efficiency with candidate quality.
  • Build strategic partnerships with universities, teacher communities, and professional networks to expand and diversify talent pipelines.

Recruitment Operations & Performance

  • Lead the entire recruitment funnel, from applicant generation through onboarding readiness.
  • Use advanced data analysis to monitor funnel health, forecast hiring outcomes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of recruitment technologies, dashboards, and automation tools.
  • Establish and enforce KPIs, ensuring operational discipline across recruiter performance, ATS usage, and candidate experience.
  • Recruitment Marketing & Applicant Generation

  • Lead the Recruitment Marketing team, ensuring delivery of quality applicants through targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee initiatives such as social media campaigns, digital outreach, referral programs, and tutor engagement events.
  • Strengthen recruitment branding by shaping compelling value propositions and positioning EDGE Tutor as the preferred platform for online teachers.
  • Ensure recruitment messaging and campaigns resonate with global teacher audiences and generate qualified candidates at scale.
  • People Leadership

  • Build, mentor, and scale a recruitment team of managers, team leads, recruiters, and B2T marketers, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and growth.
  • Provide coaching and career development to leaders within the recruitment function.
  • Establish succession planning and workforce capacity strategies to meet evolving business needs.
