Backend Developer - Java / Python (PH - Hybrid / Remote)

The Digital Bank Build team is creating a new suite of highly reliable, scalable financial platforms and apps using modern engineering practices. You'll be working with talented engineers who take pride in technical excellence, clean design, and full ownership of their products.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and deploy backend services with a focus on scalability, high availability, and low latency

Deliver features end-to-end : design build test deploy monitor improve

Analyze requirements, propose solutions, and collaborate within an Agile / Scrum + DevOps environment

Work across modern architectures (microservices, serverless, event-driven)

Take full ownership of the features you build

What We're Looking For

Must-Haves

2-6 years of experience in software development using Java or Python

Strong database and schema design skills for large-scale systems

Pragmatic approach, strong problem-solving skills, and eagerness to learn

Adaptability and comfort in a fast-changing environment

Effective communication skills in English

Strong team player in an Agile setup

Nice-to-Haves

Experience with Spring Boot, Kafka, Redis, Django, Flask, FastAPI , or similar

Exposure to AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Packer

Familiarity with automated testing frameworks

Background in banking / financial services

Strong English speaking & listening skills
