Pollution Control Officer

Monitor activities regarding installation or construction of pollution control facilities to ensure compliance with air, noise and water quality standards.Supervise the proper operation and maintenance of pollution control facilities.Report w / in reasonable time to the DENR the breakdown of any pollution control facility, including estimated and actual date of repair and operation.Promptly submit validated / certified by the General Manager periodic (quarterly) reports to the Regional Officer of DENR (otherwise not accepted as evidence in a pollution case).Act as liaison officer with DENR who abreast with DENR requirements and the latest available technology on prevention, control and abatement of pollution.Maintain liaison with LGUs or local PCOs.Attend meetings for PCOs which may be called by the DENR.Facilitate compliance with DENR requirements.Recommend to management the installation and operation of additional equipment for the pollution abatement facilities; andHandle other environmental concerns required by the employer.
