Job SummaryThe Head of Operations shall be accountable and responsible for the overall performance of the port terminal operational needs of the Company in order to achieve the business objectives.

The scope of work includes : OperationsTechnical ServicesSite Operations SupportSales and MarketingBusiness DevelopmentCollectionII.

Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperations Management : Directly plan and organize the function, ensuring that processes are clear and aligned with the organizational needs, reports are timely produced, adequate internal controls are established, and risks are properly managed.Oversees the day-to-day site operations to meet business targets and ensure that —

  • Resources are sufficient, efficiently allocated, protected, safeguarded;
  • Employees are properly guided;
  • Activities are handled properly and / or carried out in accordance with established processes (including compliance with standards and / or regulations);
  • Production targets are achieved
  • Costs are managed (high-efficiency)
  • Losses are prevented
  • Safe operationsPlan and manage the implementation of expansion projects in the area.Take the lead role be the overall site in-charge, ensuring that site issues and / or local matters are promptly addressed / resolved.Sales and MarketingAcquire new customers / clients.Develop / execute monthly / quarterly sales plan to increase sales production.Increase market share by penetrating competitor's customer base.Conduct cold canvass on prospected or target customers.Create P&L based on the desired GP and NIAT.Prepare customer proposal based on the approved P&L.Provide solutions to customer service requirements.Keep abreast of competition , market and industry.Continue to update product / service knowledge and selling skills.Attend appropriate trade shows, exhibits, conferences and other promotional efforts as required.Comply with pricing policy and procedure.Respond / Resolve all customer issues and concern immediately.Achieve monthly sales target.Business DevelopmentAnalyze past and current sales, financial, market and industry data and providing strategies to cut costs and increase revenue.Identify new market opportunities.Conduct Market and Competitors research to identify new opportunities.Work with the team to implement / execute marketing strategies.Analyze existing / potential customer needs and create solutions to their challenges.Maintain positive growth in the assigned market area.Create business expansion opportunities.CollectionManage all assigned accounts are collected within the approved credit terms.To analyze customer capacity to pay prior acceptance of cargo.Validates that there is no delinquent account nor any account receivables that are overdue.Other duties and responsibilities as may be designated by the Management.III.

Qualification RequirementsPreferably Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, Economics, and other related / equivalent courses.With at least 10 years' experience in logistics, shipping, and port operations in a managerial level.Strong leadership and decision-making skills.Proven expertise in customer relationship management.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Able to lead and work effectively with cross-functional teams.Can thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment and manage challenges confidently.
