Civil Drafter

The Drafter is an integral part of the team, working closely with Civil Engineers to produce conceptual and details design drawings, plans and documentation related to Fields of Play facilities and surfaces.

The Drafter has a strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and uses this as the basis for producing high quality designs which meet the clients brief :

Detailed Design

• Collaborate with team members to develop plans and produce a full detailed design
• Coordinate the collection of design information with Civil Engineers during inception meetings
• Advise team members of any potential road blocks or areas of improvement
• Use AutoCAD to create detailed designs to meet the clients brief and satisfy the project objective
• Develop drawing templates at the commencement of a jobs which can be used for future reference
• Assist in the production of drawings for the SPORTENG construction phase
• Maintain up to date knowledge of matters affecting Field of Play designs, particularly storm water drainage designs and pavement designs
• Maintain progress notes and revisions of designs produced
• Once designs are finalised, oversee the compilation of the design
• Assist in the production of accurate contract documentation which describes the design
• Ensure all drawings are filed for future references and audits Produce pre-tender cost estimates in light of the detailed design created
• Facilitate design and value management outputs
