Job Summary : The Budget and Asset Management Director is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and management of the institution's budgets and assets.
This role ensures the efficient allocation of financial resources and the optimal utilization of company assets, including properties and inventory, to maximize revenue generation and optimize costs.
Duties and Responsibilities : 1.
Budget Management 1.1.
Develop and implement a comprehensive budgeting process.
1.2.
Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
1.3.
Monitor budget performance and analyze variances.
1.4.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the University Treasurer.
Asset Management 2.1.
Develop and implement asset management policies and procedures.
2.2.
Oversee the inventory, maintenance, and utilization of all company assets.
2.3.
Manage property leasing and other revenue-generating assets.
2.4.
Ensure the accurate recording and tracking of asset values.
2.5.
Monitor the use of assets, and create policies to maximize the usefulness of those assets.
Revenue Generation 3.1.
Identify and develop opportunities to generate revenue from company assets.
3.2.
Negotiate and manage leasing agreements.
3.3.
Evaluate the financial viability of potential asset investments.
Team Leadership 4.1.
Supervise and mentor the Budget and Asset Management Supervisors.
4.2.
Foster a culture of efficiency and accountability within the department.
4.3.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback.
Compliance and Reporting 5.1.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
5.2.
Prepare regular reports on budget performance and asset utilization.
5.3.
