The Role

As a Junior Accounting Officer , you will be responsible in handling and maintaining various General Ledger accounts ensuring that all accounts are properly accounted and elevated to various business units. Manages post-review of certain transactions of the Department, including monitoring of head office units, to ensure that internal controls are operating effectively, and internal policies are complied with and implemented properly.

How you'll contribute

• Monitors account movements of various GL accounts regularly to ensure accurate records and no long outstanding items
• Performs posting of transactions in Oracle fixed assets / accounts receivables, and journal entries in general ledger
• Consolidates and validates monthly variance analysis of selected expense accounts
• Monitors monthly MIBA of head office units to ensure balances per SL tally with FRP balance and conducts periodic review of accounts handled by other head office units of the Bank
• Updates and submits risk-related requirements like BCP manual, RCSA and BIA
• Reviews policy and procedure of the account / process handled and updates for any necessary changes including relates SLAs. Ensures that controls, policies and procedures, and related SLAs are observed and implemented accordingly
• Conducts testing of special projects assigned to the unit based on banks accounting principles to achieve the desired improvements or enhancements
