The position will act as the primary preparer and analyst of tax returns, related tax computations, and supporting schedules, serving as the main point of contact for tax and other BIR concerns of the Head Office and all stores within the assigned business units.
The role also involves assisting the Tax Manager in monitoring and coordinating all local tax issues across these units.
Essential Responsibilities :
Prepare assigned business units' tax returns and ensure timely submission for review and filing with the BIR, including Quarterly and Annual Income Tax, Monthly and Quarterly VAT, and Withholding Taxes.
Monitor the filing of Withholding Tax on Compensation Returns for the assigned units.
Prepare and review attachments to tax returns, such as summary lists, alphalists, 2307 and 2306 certificates, etc., and submit these documents.
Assist in the preparation and review of eSales Reports related to POS machines and submit them via the BIR e-Sales System.
Support new registration or updates for Head Office and store / branch registrations.
Assist in renewing various BIR permits, including Authority to Print, Permit to Use POS Machines, and CAS permits.
Compile documents and prepare schedules for BIR audits, including self-assessment and reconciliation reports.
Help resolve tax and BIR issues escalated from other departments or stores.
Draft responses and prepare supporting documents for BIR notices, such as violations or non-filing notices.
Support the Tax Manager in maintaining a centralized system for monitoring local tax concerns, including permit renewals, LGU requirements, and real property tax payments.
Ensure all LGU communications and notices are forwarded and monitored appropriately.
Assist with other tax-related projects and activities as needed.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
CPA or non-CPA candidates are acceptable.
Minimum of 3 years' experience, preferably in tax compliance or reporting within an audit firm; experience with local government units is a plus.
Knowledge of BIR reporting and application procedures.
Detail-oriented, organized, with strong communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
Experience with SAP is preferred but not required.
Experience in document management and retention.
Knowledge of local business and real property taxes.

Monday to Friday (On-site)
Working hours : 8 : 00 AM - 6 : 30 PM, 9 : 00 AM - 7 : 30 PM, or 10 : 00 AM - 8 : 30 PM
