The main purpose of this position is to :
- Contribute to making the company's HSE Policy understood and lived up to.
- Contribute to ensuring that the company's HSEQ complies with all relevant mandatory requirements.
- Take the initiatives necessary to achieve the contribution and aim defined for the position.
- Treat safety and environmental compliance as a top priority.
- Contribute to the achievement of the company's KPI figures.
Key Responsibilities and role(s)
Maintenance of the documented QA system (TQM- IRIS)Crew and shore personnel onboarding (familiarization with IRIS, OBP).Assist in preparation and distribution of new procedures in cooperation with other departments.Provide instruction / training in the in-house use of related reporting system(s).Create monthly HSE reports and verify quality of statistics in OSM Inside.Assist with other work in the HSE Department as required.Keep HSE Superintendent duly apprised about high severity reports, non-compliance (NC) and negative trends and their causes.Monitor quality and quantity of Incidents reported in IRIS.Monitor and coordinate timely close-out of these reports.
Monitor quality and quantity of Meetings reported in IRIS.Monitor and coordinate timely close-out to actions resulted from these meetings.
Monitor environmental reporting of vessels.Monitor vessels compliance with HSE programs.Duty Officer responsibilitiesRequired Qualifications
The person should demonstrate experience in Business Administration and Quality management.Required Experience
Prior Knowledge and work experience with statistics, and shipping marine injury reporting guidelines.Have previous sailing background, preferably sailed as a Junior Officer
