We are currently looking for a Lead / Senior Manufacturing Engineer for our manufacturing engineering team in the Philippines.
Responsibilities :
NPI / Project Management
- Ensure that our products are well understood, and processes are robustly designed for mass manufacturing.
- New Technology readiness and process integration / ramp up of future products and product / technology transfer to the CM
- Define equipment specification and work with equipment maker to develop and install equipment
- Responsible for process integration and support of product / technology transfers
- Drive integration and ramp-up of new technologies into production
- Perform optimization and adaptation of process modules to optimize yield, cost and quality
- Analyze technical problems and find solutions
- Monitor equipment fabrication progress and ensure equipment are ready and on time
- To work with Global ME and RDD teams to define process flow for new product
- To conduct MTM analysis on new product to determine assembly time and cost
- To develop new / revise current test methods to improve test effectiveness, efficiency and cycle times
- To be actively involved in early product design development stage and produce a robust and efficient test package (time plan, method, tester and facility).
- To define tester specifications and work with respective design engineers to qualify tester
Sustaining
Support Contract Manufacturing Operations through new line set-up, capacity uplifts, process and equipment effectiveness improvements and other relevant manufacturing engineering activitiesSupport ongoing production needs with process and PE development and improvementsSupport production in resolving quality issues and equipment downtimesDrive CM implementation of Calibration, Repair and Preventive maintenance of Dyson consigned equipmentPerform optimization and adaptation of process modules to optimize yield, cost and qualityLeadership
Drive development of CM Manufacturing Engineering team to support production needs, process improvements and new process / production line set-upsCoach, Mentor and Develop Jr Manufacturing Engineers within their respective teamsKey skills :
At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics / Communications, Mechanical or Mechatronic and Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 8 years’ experience in manufacturing Engineering support experience related to electro-mechanical products with primary roles in assembly line equipment set-up, installation and buy-offDemonstrate Project Management Skills. PMP certification a plusDemonstrate a good understanding of the fundamentals of equipment, process and test Engineering.In depth Process and Manufacturing Engineering knowledge : DFx / DFM tools, PFMEA and Control Plan development, MSA, MTM1 / 2, Lean Six-sigma. Lean six sigma and MTM certification a plus.Demonstrate a thorough approach to reasoning and problem solvingDemonstrate ability to work proactively, to identify issues and propose better solutions.Proficiency in Minitab, 3D CAD, Team Center, Labview is an advantage.Ability to plan ahead, prioritise tasks and coordinate with the work of others.Good at communicating at all levels.A well-rounded mix of experimental, theoretical and design skills.Fluent in spoken and written English.Program management capability in a fast pace and ever-changing environmentMechanical background with at least 5 years of working experience in automated production is a plusAbility to travelDyson is an equal opportunity employer.
