Job descriptionGraduate of Medical allied courses; Nurses, Physical Therapist, Medical Technologist. Preferred but not required. Consultancy basis minimum of 6 months consultancy contract (subject for renewal) Minimum of 1-2 years of coding experience in a healthcare setting (e.g., outpatient, inpatient, professional, or facility coding). Understanding of ICD-9 or ICD-10 Coding Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Requires strong accuracy, attentiveness to detail and time management skills Ability to work with and maintain confidential information Company computer / equipment is provided
Job Description :
- Verify and ensure the accuracy and completeness of diagnosis codes based on services rendered.
- Complete appropriate documentation or system entry regarding claims.
- Ensure coding meets current compliance and regulatory requirements
- Abstract additional data elements during the Chart Review process when coding.
- Identify appropriate assignment of CPT and ICD-9 Codes for Physician and facility services.
- Stay updated with the latest coding standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Participate in audits and provide support for compliance reviews.
Minimum Qualifications :
Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software.
