This position is central to the missionaries' role to 'Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end.' The In-FieldTrainingAreaAssistant is an entry support level individual contributor that supports the Infield Missionary Learning and Development (MLD) team in a variety of administrative tasks to increase the organization fluidity of the area. They may support a variety of needs for the area including onboarding, mentor assignments, employee tenure, and scheduling, as directed by their supervisor or manager. Their support allows the Manager and Mentors to focus on training missionaries and missionary facing staff.
- Reports to supervisor or manager level in the Infield MLD division.
- May assist the Supervisor or Manager in any of the following :
- Coordinates the interviewing and hiring of applicants
- Schedules and supports onboarding and offboarding processes
- Collects mission leader recommendations for prospective hires
- Assists with annual leave and holiday coverage assignments
- Assists with time and absence needs for area (. time sheet gathering,
- Reviews reports, projections, and statistical data to identify area needs
- Tracks employee tenure and coordinates contract extensions with area HR as needed
- Coordinates mentor assignments
- Updates MTC Tools
- Responds to mentor questions
- Assists in overseeing the area substitution process including same day emergencies and tracking any undesirable patterns of behavior
- Reaches out to potential candidates and partners with area HR on recruiting efforts
- Manage language proficiency testing for applicants
- May take on mentor responsibilities to teach missionaries, as hours allow.
- May include other temporary assigned duties at the MTC (. assisting with Mission Leadership Seminar)

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as an In-Field Mentor or MTC Teacher preferred (cannot be a current teacher or mentor)
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) at a high proficiency in English.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, Documents)
