FILINVEST COMPANY : GRAFIK PINE HOUSE BAGUIOPosition Summary : In accordance with the policies, procedures, and standards of Chroma Hospitality and Grafik Pine House Baguio, the Cost Controller plays a critical role in managing the property's financial efficiency by monitoring expenditures, optimizing procurement, and ensuring cost-effective operations.

Your expertise in cost analysis, inventory control, and financial reporting directly supports profitability and budget adherence across the hotel.

You are expected to collaborate and work with various operating departments in the hotel.

You will guide the team in ensuring they can manage their departmental expenditures that affect their overall P&L.Scopes and Responsibilities : Familiarity and mastery of the finance systems such as Business Central and LS Central.Understanding transaction flows to generate reports and identify potential problems or discrepancies.Preparing financial reports related to food cost, wastage, beverage reports, inventory management, and other relevant reports required by management.Understanding recipe management and its impact on costing, including recipe costing.Conducting spot checks on portion control, butchery, and buffet testing, and providing reports on these checks.Overseeing the receiving process to ensure items meet standards and are properly recorded in the system.Interpreting variance analysis and recommending remedial actions to ensure efficiency.Reviewing PAR stock levels periodically to align with business demands and recommending updates to manage costs and inventory effectively.Maintaining an updated inventory list for all stores.Reviewing lead times with the purchasing department to ensure timely delivery of stocks, preventing operational disruptions.Overseeing storerooms to ensure proper maintenance and monitoring of items.Championing the use of finance, accounting, materials, and management systems.Understanding the digital transaction process flow of properties and departments.Teaching and conducting training on hotel and accounting systems.Maximizing system tools to generate reports and insights for hotel inventory and resource management.Establishing and implementing cost control policies and procedures, in coordination with auditors and legal for compliance.Knowledge of hotel reporting, including budgets and forecasts, and making recommendations to achieve financial goals.Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Financial Management, Accountancy, or a related field.Minimum of 7 years of experience in a finance department.Ideally, at least 3 years in a middle management or supervisory position (e.g., Cost Control Supervisor, Auditor).Knowledge and familiarity with different hospitality organizations.
