The Project Officer will report directly to the Project Lead and will be part of the Youth Forward PH team of ULF.
The main responsibility of this position is to ensure the effective and efficient development and delivery of Youth Forward PH team's objectives, with a special emphasis on contributing positively to the work of empowering and equipping the youth to become advocates of health and to build healthier communities through the Youth Forward PH program.
Scope of Work
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
1.1.
Project Planning
- With guidance from Project Lead, initiate planning for project (Operational Planning, Technical Review, Budgeting)
- Participating in developing project proposals and project documentation, mindful of technical principles related to youth engagement and community development.
1.2.
Project Implementation
Coordinate with the team and partner to conduct capacity building trainings and other relevant upskilling efforts for partners.Supporting the Project Lead in all aspects of the program implementation and development as requested.Actively assist and participate in project event (meetings / workshops / trainings)Proactively contribute to day-to-day program implementation and ensure conformity to expected results and work plansFacilitation of administrative and logístical needs for program implementation.1.3.
Reporting
Reporting on project activities and expenditure as requested by the Project Lead and according to project timeframesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, with special emphasis1.4.
Project Monitoring and Evaluation
Responsible for managing project database and other M&E toolsParticipate in Planning for transfer / transition of achievementsCOMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
2.1.
Internal Communications
Coordinate with project teams in documentation of projects' achievements and evidences gathered, alongside other references needed in relation to the organization's M&E efforts.Support the Communications and Advocacy Officer for updating and finalizing the communications toolkit, brand key and other relevant materials.2.2.
External Communications
Assist in project special events together with the Communications officerSupport the Communications officer in the production of communications tools : video clips, leaflet, press release / press kit, database, infographics, etc.GENERAL MANAGEMENT
Participate in developing long-range strategic goals and strategies consistent with the mission and capabilities of the team and develop shortrange goals for Youth Forward PH in the Philippines.Establish relationships and attend technical meetings with other NGOs, relevant institutions, implementing partners, and other networks when appropriateIdentify opportunities to collaborate with other organizations and leverage resourcesFINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
Monitoring Project expenditure based on a clear project plan and applied all required financial regulations (by donors and ULF standards).Participate in the controlling of the appropriateness and compliance of the program operations, narrative work plan, and budgets.Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
This position requires a results-driven individual, with
Bachelor's in Social Work, Community Development, or related field;At least one (1) year of experience in a development project, involving deliverables related to project management and stakeholder relationships; preferably related to youth engagement and community development;Has experience working with partner development agencies; or has a deep understanding of collaborating with the Department of Health, Local Government Units, and other private organizations dealing with youth engagement, preferred;Monitoring and evaluation skills, desirable;Experience in interacting with youth organizations; knowledgeable on strategies to effectively communicate to target audience and stakeholders;Knowledge and strong ability to produce audio-visual materials; With basic design and layout skills and adept in using Adobe Photoshop or any related software (Canva, GIMP, etc.)
is an added advantage;Proficient in English and Filipino, both oral and written;Skills in MS Excel, and proficiency in Word and Power point; strong familiarity of social media platforms; basic knowledge on online meeting tools;Knowledge of social sectors in the Philippines.
Selection CriteriaRelevant educational and / or professional degrees and certifications or equivalent professional experience
