The Operational Risk Manager is responsible in managing the delivery of the Bank’s operational risk management framework by identifying, measuring, assessing decisions on, monitoring, and reporting of operational risk exposures of the Bank.
Job Responsibilities :
Operational Risk Management Framework
- Develop operational risk policies and standards for ORM as aligned with the regulatory minimum requirement.
- Perform operational risk identification and assessment for the whole enterprise.
- Execute second line of defense risk management activities through close collaboration with business units
- Ensure a comprehensive identification of risk and respective mitigating controls, as well as subsequent corrective and preventive action plans to eliminate or minimize the impacts of risks.
- Develop and implement an internal risk management framework that enables Risk & Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), Loss Incidents Reporting, Monitoring of Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and perform Scenario Analysis as necessary.
Operational Risk Governance
With the support of business units, prepare the Operational Risk Management Committee (ORMC) agenda and drive the discussions during the regular ORMC Meetings.Ensure that all material operational risks are discussed, assessed, and mitigating actions are identified, and reported to the ORMC.Establish a network of operational risk representatives ("risk coordinators") coming from each business unit, and ensure that they are properly and regularly trained to assist the Risk Team in implementing the ORM FrameworkReview all new policies and changes in policies from on ORM perspective and provide necessary inputs.Develop a system for seamless and real time implementation of ORM issues identified by all business units for regular and updated intimation to Senior Management. The ORM Head willl be responsible owner for such a system.Business Continuity Management
Develop BCM policies and standards as aligned with the regulatory minimum requirementImplement the BCM Framework to ensure we have properly identified our critical functions, identify the requirements for recovery, and work with the business units to prepare necessary BCP documentsClosely collaborate with IT in terms of ensuring implementation of Disaster Recovery PlansEnsure regular reporting of BCM agenda to the BCM Committee.Risk Awareness Campaigns
Develop a risk awareness program to ensure all employees are trained on risk management, and key personnel are aware of their responsibilities with respect to the Three Lines of Defense model. Some programs may include new hire training, risk newsletters, risk awareness learning sessions, etc.Reporting
Responsible for the periodic risk reporting to Senior Management.Job Qualifications
Graduate with a bachelor’s degreeHas relevant experience in banking operations or operational risk management in financial institution is an advantage.Excellent communication and team management skills.Knowledge in MS Office.Additional information :
