The Accounting Manager is responsible for establishing, reporting and maintaining the financial status of the Company by developing and maintaining systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting timely, complete and accurate financial information.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESEstablishes financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, forecasting cash requirements, analyzing variances, initiates corrective action by collaborating with other department managers.Reports achievement of operational objectives by contributing accounting information to strategic plans, production, productivity, and compliance to quality and customer service standards.Reports financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data.Maintains internal controls by defining accounting policies and procedures;Recommends new procedures as necessary.
Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine transactions.Avoids legal challenges by understanding legislation and enforcing accounting regulations.Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end closing of the General LedgeAssists the Head - Finance in the daily banking requirements.Manages Credit and Collection Meetings.Protects the Organization by keeping information confidential.Manages the activities related to SAP implementation.Manages the collection of tax-related information, reporting to taxation authorities or BIR in a timely manner;Advising management on the tax impact of various corporate strategies.ADMINISTRATIONFulfills established contribution to the Company's overall revenue based on annual targets.Controls and monitors all related costs and expenditures of his / her Division ensuring that these are properly planned, budgeted, and approved for implementation.
Ensures that budgeting efforts are appropriately integrated with other planning efforts within the organization.Ensures the efficient allocation of work-related tools, technology, training resources for his / her organization.Writes and updates appropriate finance and accounting policies and procedures aligned with the overall directions of the Company.Promotes the Company's Vision, Mission and Values; monitors achievement of the Vision and "inculcation" of the Values among the personnel.Complies with all Company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.PEOPLE MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIPCompletes operational requirements by properly assigning employees, and make recommendations for change in roles or coverage of assignments or team configurations in order to maximize employees' productivity.Leads a change management process to build understanding of organizational changes, while establishing needed support from key leadership stakeholders, to ensure continuous employee engagementMaintains the approved / current manpower complement by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and continuously training employees.Maintains the job results of the approved / current manpower complement by constantly and periodically counseling and disciplining employees;Planning, monitoring, and appraising their job performance and results.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops / trainings; reviewing professional publications;Establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.Ensures that the accounting team is aligned with the same objectives, strategies, and activities at all times.Motivates employees by ensuring that all team meetings are also used as venues for continuous learning of team members.Provides general guidelines and over-all directions to team members in relation to compliance, discipline, and human relations.Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate superior
