Chemical Technician

The position is responsible in conducting basic and advanced physio-chemical properties analysis of liquid and solid wastes.

Perform preparation of reagents, test solutions and standardization of volumetric solutions in accordance with the standard test methods.

Ensure lab equipment is checked, calibrated, maintained, and certified on time and as required to confirm accuracy and reliability of test results; To troubleshoot and report malfunctions of equipment.

Prepare timely Result of Laboratory Analysis (ROLA).

RESPONSIBILITIES

Chemical Technician

a. Conducts basic and advanced physio-chemical properties analysis of liquid and solid wastes.

Performs preparation of reagents, tests solutions and provides standardization of volumetric solutions in accordance with the standard test methods.

c. Ensures that lab equipment are checked, calibrated, maintained, and certified on time.

confirms accuracy and reliability of test results; Troubleshoots and reports malfunctions of equipment.

d. Prepares timely Result of Laboratory Analysis (ROLA).

e. Conducts troubleshooting of technical-related problems and suggests alternative solutions.

f. Ensures compliance with laboratory health and safety guidelines.

g. Assists Operations personnel on Technical problems encountered during treatment.

h. Prepares weekly and monthly accomplishment reports for submission to TSD Supervisor.

Executes other functions as maybe required from time to time.

Document Controller / DCC

Provides administration support to the Management Representative.

Handles Tarlac Plant's Document Control (review, registration, distribution, safekeeping) of Integrated Management System (Quality, Environment, Health and Safety) documents.

c. Oversees the Corrective Action Process, from issuance of corrective action requests to verification Of corrective actions.

d. Monitors status of OTP of all departments.

e. Organizes management review meetings and prepare minutes of meeting.

f. Writes reports, archive materials, and ensures seamless document access across all departments.

g. Performs activities and responsibilities as identified in the Integrated Management System.

• JOB SPECIFICATIONS
• Education / License
• Chemical Technician Course with valid PRC Chemical Technician License.
• Years and Type of Experience
• Minimum two (2) years analytical laboratory experience specializing in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent.

C. Related Skills / Knowledge : MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Analytical Laboratory Methods, Laboratory Equipment & Instrumentation, Water & Health Regulations, Solid Waste and Water Treatment Principles & Practices.
