We partner with rescued and retired horses to empower those whom we serve, enhancing their socio-emotional well-being, self-awareness, and relationship management skills – developing resilience and strengthening individuals and communities.ABOUT THE ROLE | WHAT WILL YOU BE DOINGIn this role, you will report to CEO / Deputy CEO and work closely with the Management Team to transform, strengthen and manage the HR aspects of the organisation, focusing on our people and culture.

You will look at initiatives that will develop our staff to their fullest potential, review work systems and processes for greater efficiency, and create a workplace culture and environment that is fun, stimulating, inclusive, and positive.

Your key responsibilities as our HR Executive include : People and Culture TransformationFacilitate EQUAL's People and Culture transformation, ensuring the adoption and implementation of best practices to align with the latest industry standards in social services.Support the review and management of EQUAL's people initiatives and programmes related to rewards, talent management, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement.Identify gaps in the development of EQUAL's HR policies and procedures based on the changes in the organisation, reviewing and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements with effective communication and training to employees.Promote a culture of open communication and mutual respect.People DevelopmentCollaborate with line managers to create and implement annual Personal Development Plan (PDP), monitoring PDP progress and providing feedback, as well as implementing the 70 : 20 : 10 principle in learning and development framework in developing each employee to their fullest potential.Partner with line managers to review and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes to make the necessary adjustments towards the mid or the end of the year.Assist in reviewing and updating EQUAL's Career Framework to reflect current industry standards and organisational needs.Conduct skills mapping for various job roles, in alignment with skills framework, identifying core competencies and skills required for job roles for informed recruitment, training, and development strategies.Conduct periodic reviews and updates of individual and organisational training roadmaps.People Process ManagementSupport every employee in their EQUAL journey, coordinating recruitment, onboarding, and confirmation to new hires, ensuring the availability of performance planning, and personal development plan.Manage the implementation of the performance appraisal process, providing guidance and support to managers and individual contributors, and work closely with the management team to develop strategies to address performance issues.Facilitate offboarding with the resigned employee, conducting exit interviews, analysing feedback to improve retention strategies, and provide recommendations to the management team.Work with the management team to identify key positions within the organisation to develop succession plans, reviewing and updating the succession plans based on the organisation changes and employee development to ensure continuity.Serve as the main point of contact for employee concerns and grievances, mediating conflicts and providing support to resolve workplace issues.Manage payroll process, coordinating with Finance (and payroll consultant, if applicable) in administrating payroll, leave, and claims information in the Human Resources Management System (HRMS).Assist in the review and improvement of HR service delivery and employee experiences, leveraging IT and digitalisation initiatives.People EngagementDevelop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction, conducting regular surveys and feedback sessions to gauge employee morale and to identify areas for improvement.Organise team-building activities, and employee-engagement events to foster a positive work environment.REQUIREMENTS | WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORTechnical CompetenciesBachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field : A degree in HR, Business Administration, or Organisational Development with the solid foundation in HR principles and practicesAt least 3-4 years in HR business partnering experienceGood knowledge of employment legislation, general HR policies, and HR best practicesExperience in organisational development and change management workStrong computer literacy and IT skillsExperience with HR Software and Tools- Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) such as Workday.Core CompetenciesStrong people skills, ability to listen and communicate effectively with employees at all levels, and managing conflict resolution.Experience in managing HR projects, from planning and execution to monitoring and evaluation.Able to work independently when neededA collaborative team-playerPeople-focused and outcome-focusedWorks very efficiently and produces high-quality workAbility to plan, multi-task, and problem-solveAnalytical; able to work comfortably with figures to analyse HR metrics and data to inform decision-making and improve HR processes.Preferred Achievements / CharacteristicsLove for animals; being comfortable around animals is an advantageMotivated and self-drivenAble to work with minimal support
