Junior Accountant (XERO and MYOB)

About the Role : We're on the lookout for a Junior Accountant to join our growing team! If you have experience with Xero, MYOB, and ATO reporting, and you're comfortable handling BAS and IAS preparations, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities : Daily data entry and transaction reconciliation in Xero and MYOB Assist with the preparation and lodgment of BAS and IAS Support month-end and year-end closing processes Communicate with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regarding compliance matters Process accounts payable and receivable Maintain general ledgers and financial records Assist in payroll processing and superannuation reporting Support senior accountants with various financial tasks Requirements : 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience Proficient in Xero and MYOB Understanding of Australian tax compliance, particularly BAS and IAS Familiarity with ATO systems and lodgment processes Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication A degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred) Nice to Have : Experience working with Australian clients Basic knowledge of payroll and superannuation compliance Prior work in an outsourcing or virtual accounting setup
