Head of Digital TechnologySJI International Elementary School is seeking an innovative Head of Digital Technology to work closely with the AP- Innovation and Technology, to promote and support the effective integration of technology within teaching and learning.
SJI International Elementary School is a leading Google Workspace / Reference School with a dynamic approach to teaching and learning through emerging technologies.The successful candidate will have experience of developing and leading STEAM within the curriculum as we move towards creating a cutting-edge centre.
You will have experience of leading staff on the use and integration of a range of digital teaching and learning platforms, as well as the management of devices, hardware and software in an Elementary School setting.
The school currently boasts a thriving eSports program and is eager to relaunch its ESTV media initiative.
The chosen individual will spearhead this effort, supported by a seasoned television professional.You will be someone who is able to work collaboratively with colleagues across a range of subject areas, manage time effectively and show flexibility and creativity when working in our school setting.
The successful candidate should understand and support the school's identity and values as a Catholic Lasallian school, although they may not be of the same faith themselves.This position will begin in January 2026, or sooner if the successful candidate is available.
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted during the week of July 14, 2025 and interviews (in person or online) will most likely be scheduled in the week of July 28, 2025.Key ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Assistant Principal (Innovation and Technology) to implement, review and develop an annual Digital Technology strategic plan.To support student learning and achievement through the coaching of teachers and curriculum leaders to effectively incorporate the use of technology.To develop and lead STEAM within the curriculum with the use of emerging technologies.To continue to oversee the eSports program and support in the relaunch of media initiatives.Specific Tasks and DutiesImplement and review curriculum plans for Digital Technology, through close collaboration with the Assistant Principal (Innovation and Technology).Work collaboratively with teachers and Heads of Department to embed Digital Technology within the curriculum, including the use of specific standards within curriculum planning documents.Be an advocate of the Digital Technology coaching model, empowering teachers to develop their skills while still ensuring the opportunities to develop the role of coaches.Working closely with the Assistant Principal (Innovation and Technology) and Assistant Principals (Curriculum and Assessment), to continue the development of Digital Citizenship education and its integration within the curriculum.Advise on appropriate reporting and assessment procedures for Digital Technology, in collaboration with the Assistant Principals Curriculum and Assessment.Identify training needs, and develop and deliver induction and training for staff, in collaboration with the Assistant Principal (Enrichment).Lead and develop the Digital Technology coaching team.Maintain the relationship with the Central IT support team.Collaborate with the high school Technology for Learning team to foster opportunities for a whole school Technology for Learning strategy.Manage budgets, devices, hardware and software within the department.Identify and take advantage of opportunities to use resources offered within and beyond Singapore to take learning outside the classroomGeneral Areas of ResponsibilityBe an advocate of the school and its decisions during interactions with students, staff, and the community.Lead in nurturing a Lasallian Catholic ethos by building upon the legacy and tradition of the school firmly anchored in Faith, Service, and Community.Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and students.Be a role model within the school in terms of professional expertise and conduct and lead by example.Treat others fairly and with respect in order to create and maintain a positive school culture.Build a collaborative learning culture within the school and manage innovation and change.Be an active and supportive member of the SLT (Senior Leadership Team).Take on specific tasks related to the day-to-day administration and organization of the school as requested by the Principal or SLT.Support the PRD and performance management process as required to help staff develop goals and improve professional effectiveness.Support staff in meeting personal and professional goals.Job RequirementsMinimum - Bachelor DegreeMinimum of 5 years experienceLeadership position experience in Digital Technology desirableApplication ProcessAll applications for this position to be submitted strictly through Schrole / APLi only.
