• Requirements
• Registered Guidance Counselor (RGC) holder.
• Willing to work on-site from Mondays to Fridays (seasonal Saturdays).
• Responsibilities of the designation are as follows
• Sees to it that help is available to students within their area of responsibility giving priority to those with problems.
• Prepares the homeroom activities that are geared toward the personality development of the students within their area of responsibility.
• Administers, scores, and interprets psychological tests for students for identification of students' problem areas and students' self-awareness.
• Administers entrance exams to student applicants.
• Handles activities like film showings, seminars, lectures, and others within his / her area of responsibility.
• Conducts research or surveys which are relevant to the student and / or institutional needs of the school.
• Sees to it that guidance activities are well publicized by putting up posters and other paraphernalia.
• Assists in the logistics of activities spearheaded by the department.
• Takes charge of the homeroom period as the need arises.
• Submits a narrative report at the end of the school year to the immediate superior.
• Confers with parents, teachers, and other related personnel regarding problems of the students.
• Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the superior from time to time.
