Overview of the Role
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial integrity and reporting to one of our clients. This full-time position will see you responsible for a wide range of accounting activities that support the overall financial operations of the business.
Main duties include :
- Preparation and Input of Income Tax returns I / P / C / T and Financials
- Preparation and Input of BAS
- Flow Charts
- Recording client details in our databases, updating client details
- Company & Trust setup (ABN, GST TFN PAYG)
- Liaising with the Accounting Team to follow up and assist in resolving client queries
- Managing workflow for the team; updating tasks as required
- Updating Job flow manager
- Assisting with tax agent administration of client lists
- Preparation of invoices
- ATO portal maintenance and reports as required
- Liaising with the ATO for all matters
- Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as required
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related fieldProfessional accounting certification (CPA or its equivalent) preferredMinimum 5 years of experience in a similar senior accountant role, preferably in the Australian accounting, finance or a related industryExposure to FYI docs and / or Active workpapers will be highly regardedProficient in the use of accounting software and financial analysis tools such as Xero & XPM, and MYOBExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlinesEffective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teamsBenefits
