Roles and Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting
- Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensures accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Budgeting & Forecasting
Oversees the creation of budgets and financial forecastsAnalyzes variances and provides insights to managementInternal Controls
Establishes and monitors internal controls to safeguard company assetsEnsures proper procedures are in place for financial transactionsAccounting Oversight
Manages accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and credit card reconciliationsOversees the month-end and year-end closing processesAudit & Compliance
Coordinate external auditsEnsures compliance with tax laws and regulatory requirementsCash Flow Management
Monitors cash flow and liquidityAdvises on funding strategies and working capitalTeam Leadership
Leads and mentors the accounting staffWorks closely with the CEO and Senior Controller / CFO to support strategic decisionsSkills and Qualifications
At least 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, not necessarily a CPA for a Property Bookkeeping positionAt least 5 years of bookkeeping and managerial experience, must be a CPA for a Property Accountant Manager positionStrong accounting skills, with a focus on financial statements, ledgers, and reporting, essential for managing and analyzing property finances.Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and make accurate forecasts.Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders including property managers, tenants, vendors, and financial institutions.Attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.Understanding of property management principles and real estate industry knowledge to effectively perform the roles and responsibilities of the job.Problem-solving skills to address any discrepancies or issues in financial reports and property management.Time-management skills to meet important accounting deadlines and manage multiple properties simultaneously.Work Details :
