Senior Brand Manager – Innovation & Beverage

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR :

  • A seasoned Marketer who has had substantial end-to-end experience in New Product Development (NPD), from ideation to launch.
  • FMCG (food and beverages) experience is a must.
  • Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal English, is a must.
  • Candidate must be okay with our current work set-up (4D WOS, 1D WFH)

JOB OBJECTIVE :

  • The Senior Brand Manager for Innovation is responsible for ideating, developing and validating new products for the Philippine market in the assigned category / segment.
  • To build a pipeline based on consumer insights in line with the Equity / Brand growth strategy.
  • To assist Category manager in managing the growth and profitability of the brand / brands assigned to him / her in accordance with the company’s strategic thrust and objectives.
  • DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Consumer Insighting
  • Gathers and analyses information on market size, value, segments, competitors, shares and other information required to prepare an effective marketing plan and possible innovations.
  • Able to write research briefs and analyses consumer data for effective planning and action.
  • Prepares brand reviews and marketing plans, and market scoping as required by management.
  • Marketing Operations
  • Creates and executes marketing plans and tracks activities’ attainments versus targets.
  • Monitors and reports market activities relevant in the preparation of an effective marketing plan.
  • Manages A&P budgets ensuring spending within plan.
  • Implements merchandising / in store activities, below the line activities successfully.
  • Does forecasting, supply management, sales reports and a promotional workplans implementation.
  • Delivers Volumes, NSV, GM, PC, PCIP according to Workplan.
  • Integrated Marketing Communication
  • 14. Able to craft and implements IMC mixes. Monitors and controls the implementation of the approved marketing plan in coordination with other departments or external agencies as required by the plan.

    15. Develops ad briefs for ATL, BTL, or promotions.

  • Drive Innovation & Project Management
  • 16. Develops ideas (activation / innovation) of limited size and scale and sees it through from idea generation to launch and successful implementation

    17. Encouraging innovative & creative thinking; insighting and market scoping

    18. Develops market research briefs for projects, concept development and product & packaging development briefs

    19. Driving continuous improvement in all ways of doing business; creating & setting systems and processes for innovation process

  • Overall Brand Management
  • 20. Manages the full brand P&L, from topline sales to bottomline profit in accordance to the AOP.

    21. Leads the business team to move the brand’s priorities and projects for the year.

    EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND :

    Bachelor’s degree in business, psychology, or related discipline. UP, DLSU or ADMU graduate

    preferred. An advantage if with MBA units.

    WORK EXPERIENCE :

    At least 5-7 years’ experience in Brand Marketing Management from a consumer goods company as a Product Manager to Senior Product Manager (supervisorial) capacity. A multinational experience combined with a Filipino company is an advantage, however, not required. Experience in related disciplines such as CMI Trade Marketing / Sales are valued, but not required.

    MANDATORY SKILLS :

  • Project Management & leadership - Implementation of at least one business building initiative, e.g. new product launch, relaunch, packaging change, promotional program, etc.
  • Must be savvy and experienced in leading cross-functional teams and has certain focus on EXCELLENCE & INNOVATION development.
  • Key involvement in business analysis, marketing plan development, and cross-functional project management
  • Skilled and experienced in Financial Management – able to read and manage brand P&L and suggest optimization. Able to track & control A&P ensuring spending is within budget.
  • Demand Management – able to create forecasts and marketing assumptions as input to forecasting process.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Tenacity to serve as a cross functional project leader.
  • Creative problem solver, ability to see several alternative solutions to a problem at the same time.
  • Strong project management skills; can orchestrate several “balls” in the air at once.
  • Exceptional follow-through and execution capabilities, solid project-coordinating abilities
  • DESIRED SKILLS :

  • Marketing experience; demonstrated appreciation of other functional areas relevant to Marketing
  • Strong skills base in brand, market and competitive analysis
  • Creative thinker, highly flexible and adaptive
  • Good forecasting skills and assumptions-building experience
  • People motivator and coordinator
