Java Developer

• Create technical design documentation and UML diagrams
• Analyze and translate functional specifications / use cases into functional applications
• Develop codes that conforms to the coding standards set by the organization
• Estimate the effort and time required for the assign task
• Ensure code quality by performing unit and functional testing
• Identify bottlenecks and issues to devise solution and optimization to address the problem
• Develop code for new applications as well as enhancing or adding new features to the existing applications/systems.
• Provide maintenance and production support to the existing applications
• Perform code review to check quality and functionality of the code developed by team members
• Analyze functional specification and delegate the task to the team members
• Monitor project progress against with project timelines to ensure on time completion of project deliverables
• Perform other work-related task/duties assigned

Requirements

Educational Profile

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, ECE, or any IT related degree course
• Completed a course in Java Programming
• Completed a course in Object Oriented Analysis and Design is an advantage

Competency Profile

Work Experience

• Must have at least 2-3 years of Java development experience
• Experience in leading a team in facilitating activities and organizing task assignment in a process oriented manner

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s):

• At least 2 years experience on Java SE /Java EE technologies
• At least 2 years experience on Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Security AOP)
• At least 2 years experience on Hibernate ORM
• At least 2 years experience on Javascript, CSS, HTML and other client side technologies
• Intermediate knowledge on Web Services (SOAP / REST)
• Good understanding on Java Design Patterns
• Basic understanding of object oriented programming and modeling Skills
• Basic understanding on LINUX
• Experience with applications Servers (Jetty, JBOSS, Tomcat)
• Experience with databases (Oracle, MySQL)
• Knowledge with source code repository (SVN, GIT, Mercurial)
• Knowledge with IDE such as Eclipse / IntelliJ
