Job descriptionBachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of actuarial experience in insurance or financial services with a leadership background. Associate designation in a recognized actuarial organization (SOA, ASP), with significant progress toward Fellowship. Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, VBA, Access), GGY AXIS, SQL, QlikView, Python, or similar programs. Proven ability to independently model and analyze actuarial financial metrics and apply actuarial concepts effectively. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize and present findings to multiple stakeholders. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks accurately in a dynamic environment. Effective communicator with the ability to build relationships across teams and business levels. Passion for professional growth and commitment to being recognized as a trusted business partner. Position Type : Experienced - Officer / Manager Employment Type : Full-Time; Direct Hire Work Setup & Location : Hybrid (3x onsite per week) – UP Technohub, Quezon City Work Schedule : Monday to Friday; Day Shift Industry : Insurance & Financial Services
Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Actuarial Manager to lead the Actuarial Function at Business Processing Services. In this role, you will oversee a team of actuaries delivering accurate financial modeling, risk assessment, and business planning to support company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee actuarial outputs across pricing, portfolio, asset modeling, and valuation to ensure quality and consistency.
- Drive innovation in methodologies and tools.
- Work cross-functionally to provide actionable insights that strengthen financial projections, optimize pricing strategies, and improve risk management.
- Cultivate a high-performing team culture focused on mentorship, continuous learning, and professional development.
