Overview
Location : Manulife, Quezon City, National Capital Region, Philippines
Position : Actuarial Manager, RP&C VSSC, Asia
Responsibilities
- Support IFRS 17 implementation by interpreting the new standard and translating it into user requirements
- Consolidate, analyze and explain the financial and data analysis results
- Support future business reporting process design and ensure compliance with valuation control requirements for the Business Unit team
- Provide advice on results validation for developed IFRS 17 solutions, focusing on accuracy and efficiency
- Provide documentation and training to other team members on the subject matters
- Provide ad-hoc support to the team (e.g., AXIS modeling work) as resource pools if needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or related fieldAt least 10 years of actuarial work experience in Insurance or Financial ServicesAssociate designation in any recognized actuarial organization (SOA, ASP), with meaningful progress towards FellowshipExcellent proficiency in MS Office (Excel, VBA, Access), GGY AXIS, SQL, Qlikview, Python or similar programsDemonstrated experience in applying actuarial concepts to independently model and analyze actuarial financial metricsProven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather, synthesize, organize, and report information, results, and recommendationsStrong ability to establish priorities and manage multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detailAmenable to work in UP Ayala Technohub (Quezon City)Amenable to work on a hybrid set-up (3x a week onsite)Working Arrangement
