OVERVIEW :
The client is a well-established print and digital publication that champions local stories and supports businesses through creative media campaigns. The Digital Marketing & Design Assistant will manage the client’s online presence by creating and scheduling social media posts, designing EDMs, and producing digital marketing materials that reflect the brand’s vibrant, community-focused identity.
This role is ideal for a creative, detail-oriented individual with strong InDesign and digital design skills who thrives in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. It’s a part-time remote position with the potential to expand into a full-time creative role.
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES :
Digital Marketing & Social Media
Schedule and post static social media content based on the monthly content calendar in Excel .
Develop and execute weekly EDM campaigns for both consumers and advertisers.
Create and manage sales EDMs aligned with monthly advertising features and promotions.
Ensure accurate and timely delivery of EDMs for Eat.Drink publications , including pre-sales campaigns (starting March 2026).
Manage weekly social media engagement and achieve organic follower growth through tagging and collaboration with small businesses .
Content & Design Support
Update website monthly with new stories, articles, and visual content via WordPress .
Design graphics and layouts for EDMs, digital ads, and promotional posts using Adobe InDesign .
Maintain brand consistency and ensure high visual standards across all digital platforms.
Organize and manage digital assets within Dropbox for internal use.
Work closely with a creative, community-driven publishing team
Performance & Reporting
Monitor and report on EDM open rates and social media growth (KPIs : minimum 20% open rate, 40+ organic followers per week).
Track analytics to identify areas for engagement and design improvement.
Suggest content or design updates to improve audience interaction and visual appeal.
Requirements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :
Proven experience in graphic design — proficiency in Adobe InDesign is a must .
Hands-on experience with Mailchimp or Klaviyo for EDM creation and delivery.
Familiarity with Meta (Facebook & Instagram) posting tools and campaign management.
Experience with WordPress and Dropbox for content and asset management.
Strong attention to detail, creative thinking, and ability to maintain consistency in branding.
Proactive, confident decision-maker who works independently and delivers results.
Reliable, structured, and consistent — comfortable working in a behind-the-scenes creative support role.
TYPE OF POSITION, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS, & EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK :
Part-time position
Can commit to work 20 hours / week, between 9 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 PM AEST (increasing to 20 hours per week)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and methodical Part Time Assistant Video Editor to support the post-production needs of brand and advertising content. This behind-the-scenes role is ideal for someone with solid Adobe Premiere skills and a passion for storytelling through video. Initially, your primary responsibility will be to review and organize large volumes of footage, curate and prepare selects, and organize media according to a specific workflow. You may occasionally be asked to assemble a first-draft edit based on provided briefs. Over time, this role can evolve into a lead video editor position handling full projects end-to-end. JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES : Ingest, review, and organize raw video footage following established file management protocols. Curate and cut video selections based on direction and project briefs. Deliver structured Adobe Premiere project files with footage and selects clearly labeled and organized. Occasionally create a first draft of final video edits, following briefs. Maintain organization, meet deadlines, and ensure no key footage is missed during the editing process. Collaborate directly with the client, offering suggestions for workflow improvements where appropriate.
