Job descriptionCertified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification required Minimum of 2 years of medical coding experience in a healthcare setting Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Familiarity with electronic health record systems Ability to maintain productivity and quality standards while working from home Competitive salary and benefits package Opportunity for career growth and development Collaborative and supportive work environment
Key Responsibilities :
- Review and accurately code medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
- Ensure coding is in compliance with all applicable coding guidelines and regulations
- Abstract and enter patient information into electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and complete documentation
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve any coding discrepancies or denials
- Stay up-to-date on coding changes and updates in the healthcare industry
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Meet productivity and quality standards set by the company
