Legal Manager

The role will oversee a broad range of general corporate matters, contract review and negotiation, dispute resolution, document management and other legal activities with accountability for meeting timelines, budgets and project objectives.

• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist the business teams in relation to the review and negotiation of legal contracts, from EPC and O&M contracts to JV agreements and debt financings;
• Provide strategic advice on key legal issues for Vena Energy's business in the Philippines;
• Provide assistance and advice in any potential or on-going claims, disputes and investigations;
• Analyze and advise management on legal contracts, complex transactions including mergers and acquisitions, and financial instruments;
• Advise on legal and regulatory compliance, including renewable energy sector specific regulations and anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws;
• Advise on general corporate matters and day to day activities of the group such as commercial contracts, office leases, employment matters etc;
• Review, standardization and maintenance of legal document templates;
• Conduct legal research where necessary;
• As may be needed, opportunities to work on regional APAC matters in Vena Energy's other countries; and
• Any other task assigned by country business teams or Senior Manager
• Legal.
• EDUCATION
• Bachelors of Laws graduate
• Member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines
• Experience
• At least 5 years experience in law firm with litigation and corporate experience
• Must have Renewable Energy experience
