General Description
The Marketing Accounting Specialist is responsible for managing vendor debit pass-through and marketing claims from end to end. This includes claim submission, collections, rejection handling, exception resolution, and ensuring accurate financial records through general ledger reconciliation of marketing-related activities. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage high-volume transactions while collaborating with multiple stakeholders. Experience working in a shared service environment is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full cycle of vendor debit pass-through and marketing claims, including submission, validation, and follow-up.
Handle collections, rejection cases, and exceptions in a timely manner.
Perform general ledger reconciliations for marketing-related activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Partner with internal teams and vendors to resolve disputes and discrepancies.
Maintain documentation and reporting to support audits and compliance requirements.
Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen financial controls.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2–4 years of accounting or claims management experience, preferably in marketing or vendor-related accounting.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, data analysis).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in exception handling and dispute resolution.
Ability to work effectively in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience working in a shared services environment is highly preferred.
