Software Engineer (Python)

What you will be responsible for :

Developing applications and services to efficiently transform, render, and serve weather data.

Collaboratively learning, evaluating, and improving existing systems and their documentation.

Investigating problem reports, writing tests, and troubleshooting issues.

Handling maintenance tasks affecting source code.

Collaborate with Product Manager(s) on the evolution of the Storm Impact Analytics / Electric Utilities product suite.

Contribute to the optimization and continuous improvement of the software development process.

Function in a SCRUM based Agile environment requiring the frequent release of functional code.

What you will bring to the role :

2+ years' experience working with Python.

2-5 years' experiencewith AWS technology.

Knowledge of HTTP API paradigms like REST.

Experience with JavaScript / jQuery / HTML / CSS

Familiarity and working knowledge of a wide range of database technologies ie. MySQL, Postgres.

Familiarity with either React or Angular.

Effective oral, written, and visual communication.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between PHP 58,333 and PHP 83,333 monthly. DTN is a pay-for-performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to : prior work experience, training / education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
