PV Design Auditor
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented PV Design Auditor to ensure the accuracy, quality, and compliance of photovoltaic (PV) system designs. This role is responsible for both creating and auditing PV designs, training team members, and driving process improvements to meet business requirements and client standards.
Responsibilities
Design, review, and modify PV system drawing sets using AutoCAD, ensuring adherence to electrical, equipment, and installation parameters as well as local and national codes
Audit PV system designs with minimal supervision, following company and client guidelines to ensure high-quality, error-free outputs
Check detailed PV designs such as single-line diagrams, bill of materials, and other critical documentation for compliance and accuracy
Collaborate consistently with Solar CAD Designers / Auditors and Team Leads for alignment on guidelines and standards
Conduct root-cause analysis on design issues to improve team performance and recommend process improvements
Train and support Solar CAD Designers / Auditors and CAD Drafters to enhance team skills and maintain high-quality outputs
Meet deadlines for design and audit deliverables based on business and client requirements
Directly confirm any unclear guidelines or design issues with stakeholders and adhere strictly to Team Leader instructions
Requirements
Qualifications
Experience in PV design, auditing, or a related role in the solar industry
Strong knowledge of PV system design standards, codes, and best practices
Proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with single-line diagrams, bills of materials, and PV system documentation
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and ensure compliance with guidelines
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and train team members
Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Requirements
Duties / Responsibilities : Manage and oversee the monitoring portals Utilize computerized systems to track and analyze solar systems Provide communications such as emailing or calling contractors for onsite visits as well as being able to RMA any equipment Utilize Google Suite and other software to assist with office tasks Act as solar systems monitor for all company clients and be able to walk them through their portal when they receive PTO Provide and analyze generated reports to recognize monitoring system errors and be able to troubleshoot remotely if possible
