Job Summary :
Purchasing Associate is responsible for assisting in day-to-day purchasing operations such as sourcing, preparing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments. The role ensures timely acquisition of goods and services in accordance with company policies and cost-efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist in sourcing suppliers and requesting quotations for required materials, supplies, and services.
Prepare and process purchase orders based on approved requests.
Coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and resolve any order issues or delays.
Maintain and update records of purchased items, costs, deliveries, and supplier information.
Monitor stock levels and support replenishment planning.
Communicate with internal departments to clarify purchase specifications and timelines.
Ensure compliance with company procurement procedures and documentation requirements.
Assist in vendor accreditation and evaluation processes.
Support cost-saving and process improvement initiatives in procurement operations.
Perform clerical tasks such as filing, scanning, and encoding procurement-related data.
