Job description

Are you a skilled AutoCAD Engineer with expertise in low-voltage security systems ? Do you want the flexibility to work remotely while contributing to cutting-edge security solutions? Our client, a leading New York-based electronic security company , is looking for a highly detailed and technically proficient professional to develop schematics and drawings for access control, CCTV, and low-voltage security projects. If you have experience in AutoCAD, security system design, and even BIM (Building Information Modeling) , this role is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects from anywhere.

The Role

What You’ll Do

AutoCAD Drafting & Design

  • Create and modify detailed schematics and drawings for low-voltage security systems.
  • Develop precise layouts, wiring diagrams, and integration plans based on project specifications.
  • Ensure all drawings meet industry standards, building codes, and project requirements .

Technical Documentation & Project Coordination

  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and field technicians to refine system designs.
  • Maintain accurate records, revisions, and as-built drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in creating technical documentation and submittals to support project execution.

    • Software & System Integration

  • Utilize AutoCAD and BIM software to design and optimize security systems.
  • Ensure seamless integration with other construction and engineering tools .
  • Troubleshoot design challenges and develop scalable, efficient solutions .

    • Ideal Profile

    What You Bring

  • Proven experience in AutoCAD design for electronic security, low-voltage, or structured cabling systems .
  • Knowledge of access control, CCTV, alarms, and intercom systems .
  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and organizational skills .
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers, sales teams, and project managers .
