Overview

  • This position is physically located in the Philippines in support of LOGCAP

Under broad direction of the Self-Help / Wood Shop Supervisor, the Stock Control Clerk responsible for ordering and receiving Class I, II, III, IV, VIII and IX materials through the GCSS-A system. Monitors / maintains an accurate and up-to-date inventory control system involving transfer orders and DD1348-1A documentation daily. Performs daily GCSS-Army operation. Monitors and verifies all data input into GCSS-Army system. Produce management and production reports. Process supported customers request into the system. Maintains perpetual inventory system ensuring the inventory is completely counted monthly and quarterly. Generally, monitors stock control activities and provide technical assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ordering and receiving Class I, II, III, IV, VII and IX supplies and materials through the GCSS System.
  • Packs and unpacks items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Monitor stock control operation and daily GCSS operation such as : location maintenance, inventory processing, and offer support for customer requests.
  • Interfaces with GCSS-A and directs the ordering and tracking of materials and supplies to ensure delivery as scheduled.
  • Report, monitor and process request, provide status and reconciliation list to supported customers.
  • Maintains an accurate and up-to-date control of material on a daily basis.
  • Control and verify all data input into GCSS processing.
  • Ensures document will be retained for all items being turned in to Defense Reutilization Marketing Office (DRMO) or other applicable angencies.
  • Produce and analyze daily production reports.
  • Provide technical assistance.
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications : Education / Certifications : One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.High School Diploma or equivalent.Associates degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred.A valid driver’s license from country of origin and the ability to obtain a . Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License (OF346)Must be able to obtain and maintain a Driver’s licenseGCSS Certification desired, must be able to successfully complete GCSS G-TRAC Users course within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience : Military or equivalent civilian training in the Army Supply System is strongly desired.Advanced knowledge and understanding of inventory and property accountability principles and methods.1-2 years stock control warehouse operations and STAMIS system operations.Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government policy.Should be familiar with STAMIS systems and have a basic understanding of the Army supply system
  • Skills : Must be computer literate and proficient using MS Office Integrated Software and other related programs.Requires a collaborative work style with multi-national team, fostering cooperation and teamwork.Must be highly skilled in communication in English, both written and verbal.Demonstrated strong analytical skills, including the ability to extract and compile data for analysis.
  • Working Conditions : Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.Indoor and / or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
  • Physical Requirements : Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
