SSIS ETL Developer

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, develop and support ETL processes including architecting table structure, building ETL process, documentation, and long-term preparedness
• Monitor and modify ongoing SSIS operations
• Provide production support of existing ETL processes
• Provide regular project updates to management and analysts as needed
• Develop cross validation rules to ensure mapping accuracy
• Communicate issues, risks, and concerns proactively to management
• Document ETL process thoroughly to allow peers to assist with support as needed
• Document steps needed to migrate database objects between various environments including Development, UAT, Staging, and Production

Requirements:

• 3+ years of MS-SQL databases, SSIS / SSRS development experience
• 2+ years of SSIS Advanced component experience
• Demonstrated Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and above including managing databases and the use of Microsoft SSMS
• Demonstrated experience around writing and troubleshooting T-SQL statements, creating stored procedures, views, and SQL functions
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SSRS for creating and publishing reports
• Strong SQL coding experience with performance optimization experience for data queries
• Data Warehousing experience preferred
• Experience creating Power BI reports preferred
• Self-sufficient and strong communication skills
• Strong critical / analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in MS-Office applications
• Anyone with MercuryGate TMS solution experience is a plus.
• Someone with Azure experience also a plus
