Senior Developer (Front-end)

We are looking for a Senior Developer to be part of our Site Navigation Services team. This Team follows a collaborative agile working style using cutting-edge technologies to tackle complex and exciting challenges at scale. The work ranges from BAU improvements to business-critical projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and expertise to guide the development team
• Promote a culture of accountability and ownership
• Provide mentorship to other team members, fostering their growth and supporting technical development
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues and challenges that arise during development
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and automation to streamline development workflows and deliver high-quality software
• Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Uphold high standards of code quality, ensuring adherence to coding guideline, code reviews, and testing practices.
• Implement and promote best practices for software development, and proper use of design patterns and architectural principles
• Foster a culture of continuous learning within the team and stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends.
• Promote a culture of delivering in an Agile fashion
• Support incidents and actively participate in the troubleshooting process

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant work experience
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, Javascript and related front-end technologies
• Should have a deep understanding of at least one popular front-end framework (such as Vue.js, React)
• Knowledge of front-end build tools and preprocessors (such as Webpack and Babel)
• Expertise with responsive web design and advanced CSS3 features such as flexbox, grid, animations, transitions, etc
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and front-end development best practices.
• Experience in developing web application using Symfony/PHP.
• Experience in developing web applications that are compatible across different browsers, devices, and platforms.
• Expertise in optimizing front-end performance for fast loading and smooth user experience. Should be familiar with techniques such as code minification, image optimization, lazy loading, caching, and reducing render-blocking resources to improve website performance.
• Proficiency in version control systems. Should have experience working with distributed teams and resolving code conflict efficiently.
• Good understanding of UX and UI principles. Should have an eye for design, be able to translate wireframes and mock-ups into functional interfaces, and ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience
• Experience working with large-scale projects and complex web applications.

Some nice-to-haves

• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
• Extensive experience in using browser’s developer tools.
• Understanding of networking concepts, such as DNS and HTTP/HTTPS protocols, is beneficial.
• Understanding how CDNs work, and how to incorporate them into front-end developments is a big plus
• Awareness of security best practices to mitigate common web vulnerabilities.
• Knowledgeable with Web Component-based Architecture
• Knowledgeable with Typescript
• Experience working in a Scrum Team
