Responsibilities

• Responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing systems architecture that will meet business needs. Gather requirements and create functional specifications, assess current software systems, identify areas for improvement, and oversee development teams. Provide regular updates to the Enterprise Architect Head on developments in systems architecture projects. Integrate updated specifications and requirements into the systems architecture. Articulate solutions, including complex problems.
• Build (design, modify, and test) technical architecture, including infrastructure, data, and software architecture.
• Assess the current systems architecture and work with technical staff to recommend improvements. Resolve technical problems as they arise.
• Develop an understanding of IT infrastructure and identify improvement areas.
• Develop and document technical information and data flow. Provide supervision and guidance to IT teams including infrastructure and development teams.
• Conduct continuous research on current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed.
• Inform various stakeholders about issues with current technical solutions being implemented.
• Provide updates to stakeholders on product development processes, cost, and budget.
• Analyze, plan, and define data architecture framework, including security, reference data, metadata, and master data.
• Research data acquisition opportunities. Develop Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to retrieve data.
• Analyze, plan, and define software architecture framework with knowledge of coding languages and software languages.
