Job description

We are seeking a high-caliber Finance Modeller to report to the Finance Head. You will be a key driver in budget consolidation, financial modeling for power plant technologies, and strategic financial analysis. This role is vital for evaluating new projects, ensuring regulatory compliance (ERC/DOE), and monitoring key financial metrics to support management decision-making.

  • Location: Ortigas (with travel for plant visits)
  • Salary Range: PHP 57,000 – PHP 75,000
  • Shift: Day Shift (Full-time)


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain complex financial models geared toward specific power plant technologies.
  • Lead the consolidation of plant budgets, prepare macroeconomic assumptions, and manage monthly Actual vs. Budget variance reports.
  • Conduct due diligence, tariff structuring, and rate/formula reviews for various financial valuations.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and justifications for the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) and the Department of Energy (DOE).
  • Calculate and monitor critical financial ratios (DSCR, Debt-to-Equity) to ensure compliance with loan covenants.
  • Analyze OpEx per plant (cost per P/kWh) and identify cost-saving opportunities with unit heads.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years in corporate finance, financial modeling, or a related field (Energy/Power sector experience is a plus).
  • Expert-level MS Excel skills; strong understanding of valuation techniques and financial statement analysis.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills.
  • Must be willing to travel to site plants for reviews and audits.

  • Precision in financial modeling and valuation outputs.
  • Zero-penalty compliance with lender and regulatory requirements.
  • Effective identification and implementation of cost-saving measures.
